Hello, my name is Truc. I'm a nursing student at De Anza College. School is recently postponed until Fall 2020. I started hand sewing mask to give away to friends and families in the Bay Area. I then realize there's a great demand for handmade masks because of delayed shipping time for online purchases, so I asked some of my classmates for help. I'm a Stanford employee that has been sewing cloth face masks (~100 to date) for donation and for purchase during my free time. The mask design I've been using has a pocket for an N95 filter and (if requested) the metal bending strip for the nose. I have worked with organizations where they've cut all the fabric/delivered the supplies to me for me to make AND I've also been open (depending on the amount of masks and timeline) to obtaining my own supplies and donating or selling what I make from that stock.

I am an experienced seamstress/crafter with a love of fabric and color! I used up stash fabric to make a few masks. Then I got hooked and have a lot of fabric in a variety of colors. I’m using a pattern recommended by COVID-19 site. It has a lining pocket with space to insert a filter if desired. The sides are adjustable with one long tie (no elastic) and a flexible nose wire. Recommend hand wash in hot soapy water, line dry to preserve wire and fabric. Hot iron when dry helps sanitize and shape mask.

I am a sewist, machine embroidered and crafter of all kinds. I make both the pleated mask and the profile kind. I have 2 embroidery machines and a cricut machine. I think vinyl is safer for the masks as it doesn't add more holes, but can do embroidery on the bottom edges of the masks, depending on what is requested. I love making masks, it's fast and easy for me.
